Aslan Palas,Diyarbakir,TR. Ran up the road with M via the ferry from Feripot across the lake trying to beat sundown to D. The terrain this side reminds me of the Serengeti, grassy plains (though more rocks and fewer large game). M is doing things on the cheap so we're sharing in a cheap gaff partly I suspect so he (we) can spend more on beer (0.5l in a pub last night was TL8). I've done nearly 3k km since Istanbul (6+k since UK) so it looks like another oil change in Van on Mon. Iran on Tue.
