Hotel The Emerald,Nani Daman,Gujarat,IN. 17:50. It took 4hrs to get 160km from Pune to Thane just N of Mumbai where the NH8 starts N. A good old battle with roads, traffic and signage. The GPS is missing some junctions so was largely worthless. 2&3 wheelers were banned from the Pune-Mumbai expressway (though it didn't look much quicker) and I thought M said they were from this road too. That would have been bad as there is no other road N! Daman is a strange little twin town famous for cheap booze. I thought Gujarat was a dry state!
