Sat by the Sindh Indus which is looking pretty fast, strong & grey and signs of its destructive power lie in bits of twisted metal and new bridges along its banks.
The road was good until Thakot just down the road and all confirm it's another 12hrs to Gilgit (328km) including a bloke from nr. Bradford smoking some "black." As opposed to cannibis which is a roadside weed, here.
The natives are a mixed bunch, many frown and stare, as many wave cheerily, several have come up and welcomed me to PK.
