One day you're in, the next day you're out
I'd asked for my visa to be picked up in Istanbul but then it turned out the visa number was only valid for a month not the generally advertised three months. I'd asked for it to be changed to be picked up in London and the next thing I heard was:
Dear Ian,
I have a bad news for you.
Just now ministry of foreign affairs told us they did a mistake. Your visa iwas rejected. The visa number that they have given us belongs to another tourist and they sent it to us by mistake.
So your visa is rejected. If you like, you can apply again after 3 months.
