House by the Lake, Turgoyak

More of a rambling modern mansion than a house, run by a very nice couple from Armenia who are going out of their way to make us comfortable - at least I think so, A does all the talking and I throw in a cheery "spa-ceeba" (thank you) at appropriate intervals which seems to go down well.

We tried RU billiards in the Inca-themed basement which is a ridiculously difficult version of pool. We gave up with 5 balls potted after an hour.

A sashayed into the banya (RU sauna) declaring it to be rather cool for a banya. I staggered out after 5 minutes hyperventilating. Still, a little more Dutch courage and I was back in ready to be thrashed with the leafy stick!
