The iPhone, O2 and the NE states don't get on. It'll be Internet stops for a while.

Nor do I with IE which has just lost me 40 minutes of typing when something on a different computer lost the Internet connection and hitting refresh in IE does not appear to resend page data from the "Diagnose Connection" page. (Sigh -- actually, I exclaimed some fruity Anglo-Saxon...)

Anyway, the NE states (Assam and Meghalaya, so far and only Tripura left of those I can visit) seem to be the India I was hoping for with considerably better roads and less traffic. Sometimes I'm the only one tooting a horn! There's time to look around a little and then swerve for the cow/dog/goat/human/truck.

I tried the local West Garo Hills speciality dish (whose name I've forgotten) which is very fatty pork in a green chilli sauce cooked in bamboo. I'm still alive!

It looks like I'll visit some of the national parks over the next few days and see how the Save the Rhinocerous campaign is coming along.
