Arrived late last night thanks to the Uzbeks making it hard to leave. Not that the border process was slow it's just you have to be at the right border. Not the M39 (E40!) immediately N of Tashkent (foot only) or Kiles but at Chinoz 60km SW of Tashkent.
UZ revealed some small cotton fields but little more of interest than in the dark. KZ rolling hills of short brown grass (and darkness).
The restaurant remains stubbornly closed but the ladies here in the 3rd floor buffet have kept me fed and been concerned I'm not married nor have children.
