Stopped for a break. Having taken 2hrs to get to Chamba I then found that the LP had omitted to note that access to the main palace and temple was effectively pedestrianised. C. was very busy and nowhere secure to park. I did try to get up but got nowhere fast. Whether they are very small or (notionally) very large the roads all have their very poor moments. The tyres and suspension are getting a good workout.
