The locals were wearing the peculiar camoflage pattern ear muffs even in S IN, then woolley hats, scarves over the top of the head (as well as round the face to discourage dust) and up here fleeces. I would have said there was a slight chill yesterday evening (19C) but it was cold overnight. The bike is reporing 11C about 20min after dawn. Brrr! Hey, as the C's daughter pointed out, it's the day-night change in temp that is key: here almost 20C.
