Hotel Mahendra Prakash,Udaipur,Rajasthan,IN. 15:20. 1C this morning! Brr! A very quiet road across to U. this morning though the locals have been prone to blockading it recently when they're not banditry-ing. Those few around looked poor and bored so fair do's I suppose. Initially a hint of desert country but that disappeared in the desolate hills. More stone walls and the odd urchin waving bags of fruit from the central reservation (again, no sign of where it grows) but otherwise I might as well have been alone on the road. More threat from the a-bit-too-steep cuttings causing landslides than locals.
