Akbar Tourist Guest House,Bam,IR. 09:10. Akbar may or may not have done miracles to recover from the 2003 earthquake but the result is a half built dump. The shared bathroom isn't clean, functional or comfortable (and stinks). Why bother building it at all? There's not even any other overlanders to talk to. It's cheap, which might be it's historic appeal. I'll try a quick getawayto the hotel but you need a police escort everywhere since a JP was kidnapped in 2007.
