Despite Nanga Parbat's N face (8126m) rising 7000m from the Indus (where I was) I didn't see a baldy thing. You shouldn't come during the monsoon says the mgr bloke who has convinced me to go to Aliabad in Hunza tomorrow (this side of the "block", ie. landslide lake) rather than a second night here. Less driving on Sunday too.
Claims transporting the bike across the lake should only be R500 (£3). Very hard to believe.
