Al-Dawood Hotel,Dalbandin,PK. 16:46. Yesterday's farce continues. 1st escort (late) ran out of diesel 20km up the road and I was sent on the next 30km on my own where the 2nd took the doctor's car. The 3rd, 4th & 5th (as they had no vehicles) were increasingly grey and frail armed pillions. They had the benefit of Dr Hopkins' Bespoke Tyre Bearing Apparatus jammed in their privates so they were even less fighting fit. Here at D. at 2:30 I was told I could go no further today. There's talk of a bad road ahead (their vehicles are in a rotten state and have missed a few services and I've inhaled an unfair share of diesel soot) though I think there's a scam with the hotel. I've not been told I can't wander so I might try to find a replacement jerry can for the empty one that fell off on the way into D. iPhone required a restart to get a signal-who writes this software?
