Kazakhstan! The border, anyway.
Rather a messy border (maybe they disagree on who cleans the litter up in no-man's land).
Very casual on the Kyrgyz side and similarly casual on the Kazakh side but with more troops (some with balaclavas on but still wanting to chat, I felt).
The Kazakh kept asking for a vehicle passport, I kept saying carnet? ("carnay") forgetting people call it a "car-nett". I didn't think they used the FIA thing anyway.
